Most i've paid is 782 dollars and loose change for my prize lungfish. I like a lot of fish but not enough to dump the majority of my tax return on, normally I'm still looking for new critters but nothing big money wise (until i see something i cant live with out). Until that it was 75 bucks for my 25 inch african lung.

Those crays would be very awesome to raise, please share pics and what not when you get them I'd love to know more about them from someone's first hand experience. I have a bit of an obsession with crays and crabs (fresh water mostly atm).

What would the life span be on one of those....20 years? just taking a guess compared to the growth rates i've seen in my crays and the late maturity of them.

The most I have ever spent on a fish was a lawn mower and a minibike I got those for a spencer pump shotgun, what it works out to in $, I have no idea. More money I have, more tanks I get. I did spend a few hundred to go fishing for things to put in tanks. Several groups offer catching trips with assistance in getting permits and shipping. I would love to have a large tankful of Amazon fish that I caught myself!
