How much would you pay for a fish??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a decent income now, but I'm trying to save up so the most I'll spend at the moment is probably 50$.

Probably around 100 dollars. I don't have much money though, so I would pay more if I had loads.

I spent $180 on a fish once...only to have it die a couple of month later! I was more hurt than pissed though, I'd grown attached to that fish in such a short time. Normally I don't spend more than $30-40 on a single fish.

My current record purchase price is four hundred dollars for a shark that I bought three years ago,the shark is still kicking and I still have the sales receipt.I dont really have a set price limit,it just depends on the fish and the situation, like I couldnt bring myself to pay hundreds of dollars for cichlids and if they were legally obtainable,I wouldnt go crazy with the designer asian arowanas either.

I would have to say in the ballpark of $500. And it would have to be something I just could not live without or just freaking HUGE. But I have yet to find said fish or I would have allreay bought it lol.

On a side note there is only one set of fish that I have ever asked about that I was told the were not for sale that I would like to have and Its about 8 8"+ RBPs at one of my LFS every time I go there I ask them how much and they just tell me they are not for sale. Greanted I have my own I'm growning out now but for awhile I wanted what they had pretty bad
