Do you need the stand? If so i would shell out $400 probably. But, unfortunately I'm stuck in chicago suburbs and not socal. Socal has all the deals.

I just don't see how some people spend more money on a wooden stand than a tank.

Me and my dad built a 125 stand and it looks pretty bad. But hey for 60 bucks it held the 125 perfectly fine. Or I could have spent 300 bucks for a 125 stand from Petsmart where I got the tank.

A tank stand IMO can make or break the look of your total package piece, especially when its such a big part of your home decor. Its basically furniture, not just a stand...
