  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
o sweet!!!! thanks reptech! but i wouldnt be getting it right away. i would probably be getting it towards the end of the summer

ya but i want a turtle that will grow acustom to me. and that are energetic and colorful. not one that sleeps half its life. ive heard that musks are noctornal and all around boring from a couple websites

Hmm I've kept loggerhead musk turts and they were pretty active...but if you want something interactive I'd go with a tortoise, most aquatic turtles aren't very hands on "pets".

lol!!! ya what are your guyses opinions on the sideneck turtle?? they have one at my petsmart. good or bad?

ya i wasnt planning on it. they dont take care of there animals cuz they will just get more

what are your guyses thoughts on the florida red bellied turtle???? would they fit in a 40 gallon??

florida red belly will get very large and not suitable for a 40.

I think your best bet is a russian tort... If you live in NY you can go to the White Plains reptile show and pic one up for anwhere from 55-85 at the end of the summer. They are very hardy, personable and stay small.

I don't think Musks are not boring. Mine are always exploring their setup and begging for food when they see me.

Box Turtles are a lot of work and should really be kept outdoors. They need just as large of an enclosure as a similar sized tortoise.
