How often do u clean ur canisters?

I clean mine when the water flow is reduced. This seems to happen about once a month.

i cant see the flow of my fx5 cuz i have it submerged. my tank doesnt have enough circular openings to fit 6 hoses so the hoses are put in at odd angles.

I clean my fx5 every 3 month on a heavy stocked tank. You can go longer without maintenance depending on your setup and stocklist. If you have it setup strictly for picking up waste then it requires quicker service. If its setup to handle only bio then you can go longer. This is how I do it. Just me

It depends on your bio load. Every situation differs. Once you set ypour tank up with your canister filter, over time you will come to know how often you need to clean it. I go every 3 months.

Once a week but mine is also setup for policing so it gets dirty very quickly.

on my 300 gallon tank I have 2 x Eheim 2262s and they get touched every 6 months. And not at the same time, I stagger them by a month.

i run 2 fluval 405 and a power filter on a 125g
I have a pair of chocs, a pr or cutteri, 3 4 inch various cichlids and several(4) large catfish avg 7 inches

Is this enough filtration
