How often do you test your water parameters?

i used API liquid test kits.
i tested with all 4 tests you get with the kit when i felt like it.
as i did by weekly water changes the tests were pretty much the same most of the time hence the reason why tests were sporadic.
i chose other.

If you are a responsible fish keeper, things like that usually don't happen as a result of water parameter issues unless the tank has been set up fairly recently (in which case you should already know that the tests are "needed" hence the "as needed").

I do it as needed as well. If I see something funny going on with my fish I test the water. If I'm cycling a tank I test everyday, if not I do it monthly, regularly, or when needed. Weekly water changes keeps water parameters pretty consistent.

Well for many of us, it's the only way we can accurately answer the OP's question.

never, if my fish ever start to look dodgy i just do an extra water change and that seems to fix it. only had this happen once.
