I would had :
4) circulation pattern in a tank (a factor that is always underestimate)

I couldn't agree w you more about in tank flow. All this stuff of "who has the biggest turnover rate" is overrated. A 4x per hr turnover rate is fine. Extra in tank flow is what is needed for circulation. Currently turning over my 300 4x per hr and have koralia1400 gph powerhead. There is never a piece of dirt on the tank bottom and as long as I change my filter socks every 3 days, the water is crystal clear. This is feeding 2 dozen shrimp a day, a dozen earthworms every other day and pellets daily to my two rays and aro

I never test water unless one of my fish is acting different. Which hasn't happened in over a year and I always use established media in all new tanks. So it's honestly been over a yr since i tested water

Here are the three things I believe in totally

1.) acclimating fish
2.) plenty of bio media
3.) water changes

ditto, I have plenty of other tanks that I can borrow media from to seed new tanks, and start slow

I have kept fish for 15+ yrs, I have tested my water twice...and once was an accident.
