Well, I will be checking out your story, I have had mine for about 2 years, he is 20" roughly and is in a 250 g, He used to live with a takifugu obscurus puffer but I moved him out due to TSN aggression. I also had the TSN with a 13 inch BGK, the TSN ate him when they were both about the same length. I had the TSN with 4 10 inch pbass before they went to a display tank at the Dallas North Aquarium. Most recent event was the TSN eating a 17" roughly Silver Aro. Needless to say the TSN will be going into the display tank at Bass Pros. I have had it with death in the tank so The TSN must go. He is now eating 3-5 Xlarge shrimp every 2 days and is in there with a Tropical Gar and I am worried every second.
Ok, how about this idea. If you still have the dimmer on your lights, try dimming them progressivly towards the end of the tank, just a subtle dimming. Give it a shot and see if you and the wife can come to a happy medium, she can stare at the dimmer right side and you can stare at the bright left.
