How red does a normal red get?

Hi CLASSIC-CHASSIS
its funny, people arent seem to be reading your post.

lol that pic you got there is a GRADE 2 red.
basically its bred from a SUPER GRADE 1 or aaa red and a green or something, easier to breed, higher yield of babies, cheaper to sell.

super reds and stuff that are really expensive like those two pictures are crazy expensive (Here in new zealand they are upwards of 3000 NZD, thats about 1800 USD plus)
the red picture you showed wont get too red, after 2 to 3 years it will get much redder but generally not and NEVER like those pics of chillis and super reds or VIP red.
I read somewhere that a good lighting system and tanning regime brings colour out but it wont become the extent of the high priced ones.

if the red you are talking about is a grade2 banjar that will be cheaper than a RTG they are a waste of money IMO

they turn out no better than a green in most cases

i would save the extra cash and get the RTG

entry level aro is a green

the best value for money aro is a RTG

Don't buy a banjar you will be disappointed

Just get the normal red and raise it to see how it works out. I wouldn't try your hand with a $1,000.00 fish when you are coming from 10g tanks. It will be just as spectacular of a fish, they are awesome no matter what color. I bet if you keep it a year you'll not even want to sell it, you'll want to keep it and just get another. Like many fish, good diet and lighting will really enhance colors as well.

My advice is get a normal aro (thong on) for approx. 2,800 THB. If it works out, next year get a x-back or RTG. This is what i am doing now anyway - try out on something which you will not have heart attack if it goes belly up ^^

is that what they go for in Thailand? i would still get an RTG. It's not as ez to sell the grown out fish as people think - not the kind of profit people are looking for anyway.
thats my experience....
