Rant? lol That was just some good advice from an old fart who lives back in the hills and has been dealing in the business world for probably longer than you and Podzy have been walking on this earth. Take it, leave it, don't matter to me. Just a little reality check amigo for future dealings.
Yes, your question was very simple, but no one asked who the vendor was until after you had already threatened to out him, which started in your very first post.
Edit: I won't name the vendor just yet. I'm going to see how emails with him goes first.
Which a few posts later was followed by;
Edit: he still hasn't responded to my email so if he doesn't by tonight I am releasing his name to you guys.
Again, at that point no one had asked you who the vendor was, or to post his name. You decided you were going to do that all on your own, before you even started typing your first post, which was your real reason for posting here, to out this vendor on a public forum if you didn't get an answer that you were happy with. BTW - how's that working out for you?
I agree with only 1 thing that you stated and that's that I should have brought up a possible refund the moment I was dissatisfied.
Good, then you actually learned something from this experience. But hopefully that isn't all you or anyone else reading this will take away from this experience. As previously stated sometimes in life sheet happens. marriage, kids, grand kids, etc can complicate things. The more people involved, the more complicated life can get. People get sick, have the flu, end up in the hospital, get in serious accidents, sometimes even fatal ones, etc-etc-etc-etc-etc-etc. The older you get the more you will come to realize that there can be HUNDREDS of potential reasons why someone cannot always answer email or text in 1 day or less. This is not being hard headed, this is being realistic. If you can't deal with that, my advice is
do not buy goods online.
The other thing everyone should keep in mind is the vendors return/refund policy, which with LIVE FISH typically doesn't exist. The policy generally involves "live guarantee", and with most vendors of live fish that policy equates to a number of things, with the end result being pretty much the same as this ones.
Any claims must be reported the same day of receipt. Any credit due will be awarded on your next order-no cash refunds.
FYI - have you read your friend Ray's refund policy? I'm assuming this is the friend that you were referring to in your last comment?

1. All fish sale are final
2. All equippment are sold as is
How's that for a cut & dry refund policy! You're right, everyone does have their own way of running a business.
I'm sorry to hear that the goonch died.
