I don't really know. I pulled my hand/screwdriver out of there so fast I didn't really pay attention!! LoL. Plus it was really BRIGHT, so I couldn't tell anyway...haha
 
Ive worked in live panels before.I always follow the advice of the guy that trained me.Wear rubber soled shoes and keep one hand in your back pocket.

The "neutral" is the grounded conductor, so basically at some point it is connected to the grounding conductor(ground). If the neutral has become ungrounded it will have a difference of voltage potiental, so it will be hot. Worse case scenario is that the ungrounded neutral is carrying a load(amperage) this can be very deadly.

In his case though sounds like he was just hooking in a nuetral and accidentally bumped an energized part.
 
Lol! That's gnarly. I like hooking up LED's to 12 volt batteries and watching them smoke and melt...

Reliving my science class misbehaviour acts eh? I also like getting 24 volts and using crocodile teeth and touching steel wool.
