how to breed tems X azul?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Did he say he's going to circulate the whole world with that hybrid if it happend?

Tim said it right, I did a search on DM (his videos are all over youtube), didn't he try to cross orino x azul? Perhaps we should learn to respect each other regardless of which corner of the earth we are coming from.

In the name to
e know certain cichla could be a product of crossing certain species. Let's all cool down and allow Mosquito to do his job, and am sure he will be pleased to share the outcome. We could

fuih why so many debate ?? we all love cichla hybrid or not ? me my self like it pure.. but cichla also hybrid in wild... for ex florida hybrid, malasyia & singapore hybrid ....

The temensis are both female.

This thread is all over ther place. Im sure you can cross these if you put them in the right environment.

Do I agree with it? I don't agree with going out of my way and forcing it to happen. Would I be curious to see the results, yes I would.

I would however love to accomplish breeding Piquiti or Temensis for the first time in USA aquaria though.

To each his own, but the issue with hybrids in general is that it's always thinking immediate picture and whats cool, and not the overall impact. It is very difficult to find a domestic 'pure bred' species of many African Cichlids, and CA cichlids because of the prolific hybridization that has overrun that area of the hobby. This is what we want to avoid.

FL Hybrids were initially Monocs, Ocells, and Tems that were brought in. Tems did not survive the coller months, and Monocs and Ocells did. They have been crossbreeding since.

Scott's (DM) Piquiti/Orino pair weren't forced together. They paired up on their own in a tank with Multiple Orino's. They laid eggs...and turned out to be infertile. They were seperated, and then switched out the Male Piquiti for the Male Orino. The Orinocensis then bred and were successful.

Their is no need to bash, but you need to realize the possible implications of your actions if you're successful.

It is not the first time ever tried here. Don't make a big deal out of it.

Tank is not nature, but there is something called "artificial breeding" vs. "natural breeding". Which part you don't understand.

exactly....artificial breeding.
im not saying he couldnt do it,im simply saying i DONT agree with it.
of course,i'd love to see what azul x temensis look like, but i do not condone it.
whats he going to do with the few hundred babies he gets?
sell them and create the all new blood parrot?

Artificial breeding requires you to use hormone to induce or actually use your hands to squeeze that anus to get sperms and eggs out. This guy just wants to put thme in the same pond.
