True, you can place it above though. I probably will end up using a sump so the water flows down instead of up, but it still generally the same concept except the pipe moves and the water exists at the bottom.

Personally I used the skippy method on my pond, but I wished I used a sump instead. With skippy method your filter floss is under your bio media and is a pain in the butt to get to and clean

i think i might have the same thing aswell , thinkk the tank will be drilled.

Here is exactly what you want!!!

Just scale it up to a larger set of drawers for your larger tank

I just added one to my 180g 2 days ago because my tank is overstocked.
It took under 20 minutes to rig it together and sit it on top of my existing sump tower
