Gill curl cannot be heal from clean water. Has to be cut and for it to regrow if possible. I don't know gill curls for FH works for the same principal as arowana though. But I know that very bad quality water causes gill curls.

Damn, I misinterpreted what you wrote previously.....
Too bad I already bought him.. Perhaps I'll use this as an experiment to see the gill curl change in both my fh (cut & uncut)..

I saw some change in Harvey hence an update..
This might sound really weird but yesterday was really unlucky.. my filter broke down & I had to add in air bubbles in his tank..
& just now when I came back from work, his head popped a little..
Don't really know what happened..
