Nice. On a serious note though, I have heard people say that they do suck the python to get it going (giggling) but seriously I hope thats not true, cause thats gross

I have done that before. It's not really gross at all, you have plenty of time to move your mouth before the water reaches it. In fact, its almost like a game, except that if you lose its just horrible.

I used to do this every water change but now i have 2 ball valves on my syphon hose so that i can trap some water in it and next time i use it the syphon starts up with no sucking required

But ocassionaly when i break the syphon by accident i have to do it again. and having a long syphon hose certainly does help with not getting water in your mouth.

Why does'nt she just leave the entire hose in the tank between buckets?
I insert the hose to a regular garden hose and water the flowers with the water being removed from the tank. No buckets to lift.
