Is it even possible? i want to try it idk why... thinking about setting up my 30gal (that i keep saying ill setup one day) fill it with about 10 XL feeders from the LFS grow them out to about 12" or a lil less. what should i feed them to make them taste better? how can i clean them? i know how to clean rainbow trout, done it with my uncle when we go fishing just need some refreshing. What seasoning would be good? Whats the best way to kill the fish without it getting hurt? am not joking ill even make a vid of me eating it maybe invite some friends for fish friday dinner, any other pointers to make them taste good? thanks...
:screwy:

Does anyone else find this whole idea extremely stupid and cruel?

Drgn have you seen fish farms? It's basically the same thing how is this cruel? Since their feeders they could of gone to a snapper and be ripped apart. Am fishing in my fish tank what's wrong with that =\

I think its weird, and I dont think you will get them to taste good, but let me teach you a few secrets about getting fish to taste good.

1. Fish that live in plastic containers...kinda taste like plastic.

2. Fish that eat pellets, taste like pellets.

3. Avoid having algae in your container..."green water" can cause a fishy taste.

4. Make sure that your h2o quality stays good.

5. Before butchering your fish, let them go a week in cold, clean h2o without food.

cold clean chemical free water. People who say carp taste like crap probably never had it done right. Beware of bones.

How? They did had it done right countless times and it still tastes crappy! Eat a goldfish doesn't sounds very tasty to me, compared to a trout, a tilapia, a catfish or a walleye.

er...i would not feed, feeder gold fish to my fish..WHY would you want to eat them when you know the conditions they come from...yum yum diseased, possibly full of parasites!..and in a 30 gallon.. with 10 goldies?..i would put 2 in MAX, to get any growth

50% water changes daily,

good luck but...ewww...i would never eat anything i refuse to feed my fish.

Even shrimp? Most fishkeepers feed their fish with raw/frozen shrimp from stores.

I said I would not eat anything I refuse to feed my fish....

I feed shrimp to my fish.......and I eat shrimp.

I feed my fish allot of things that i would not come close to eating....but if its something i refuse to feed my fish...well thats just not a consideration for food for me.....just my thoughts ^_^
