How to convince parents to upgrade tank?

I have a 10 gallon tank and want to upgrade to a 20 or 30 gallon tank, for my 3-spotted Gourami and Albino Catfish.
I don't get any allowance. I get all A's but I only get a pat on the back for that.. I'm broke. I'm 13. There's no jobs around here.I don't get money for doing chores, I'm expected to do them anyhow. So yea, any bright ideas??

Why not cut grass/garden for neighbors for a fee. Or clean somebodys aquarium or enclosures for a fee.

People cut their own yard's and I believe I'm the only fishkeeper I know in this whole town.

Start with asking for a tank upgrade. Do some leg work and look up some good deals on craigslist or something.

Looks like you get to be stuck with the ten gallon. Just let your parents know that a tank upgrade is what you really want, and amazing things can happen on birthdays and christmas. Just don't whine about it, then you'll never get one.

Babysit. Ask an old lady if she needs help mowing her lawn or taking out the garbage for some money. Ask for a larger tank for your birthday.

B and E!!!!!!! You can usually get enough for a 55 gallon if your swift and efficient.

In all reality what are their reasons for not allowing the upgrade ? Space constraints ?
