How to convince parents to upgrade tank?

this is what i did and it worked LISTEN to me i have been through this some many times, dont ask all the time, get big fish and ask for an upgrade, for your birthday or crimbo (xmas) or act al 'goody-goody' and become a parents pet lol

i got a big fish and upgrade lol

i already have a big fish that's why i need the upgrade and i'm always goddy goody anyways

im living with my granny right now ( mom passed from cancer and im 20 right now ) i had a 20 gallon ( heck id let you have that tank for free if you were by me ) i kept asking for a bigger tank ( my bedroom is the livingroom btw ) they always said no untell i told them id pay extra for having the bigger tank so i baught my neighbers 75 and i also DO pay extra like 10 dollars extra for elec.. so if you can get some money somehow offer to pay extra for light/elec bills

Try recycling. I used to do this sometimes when I was a kid and would get pretty good amount of money sometimes.

Would they let you have a bigger tank if it was free?

In my area craigslist.org is good for finding the free 55g and smaller tank every couple of months or so. Just takes time waiting for the to pop up, but they are there.

As other have said, if you were closer I have a 55g sitting in the basement that was resealed a few months ago with new frames and a stand you could have. I would gladly trade a couple of weeks of some yard mowing for for it. It actually was a CL freebie.

That's how my parents are right now... they won't let me get an 800g pond in the basement even if I pay for it with my own money (which I always do)
