how to cure fish tb?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if the fish have tb their health will keep declining and then die right? but my fish always become normal after 1 month then the other month act werid again. do you guys think its tb? but the fish tb symptom looks about right, sunken belly, curved spine and black spot. the funny part is when its back to normal his spine is back to normal too I read all the post curved spine can not be cured.

Doesn't sound like Mycobacterium at all. It could be a different infection or even a nutritional deficiency.

do u think dosing kanaplex with bifuran will heal the infection? or those med cant be mixed?

Maybe we should go back to basics...

What size tank is your aro in and what foods are you feeding it?

Whats the water change schedule like and how much do you change?

Do you know your water parameters? If so post them up...

125gal no other fish except him and just feeding twice a week on frozen shrimp. 50% every 2 week

Nitrate = 30-40%
ammona = 0
nitrite = 0
ph = 6.4

Waaaay too high nitrates. Looking at your Values you need a better filter plus some crush coral to stabilize the ph at around 7-7.4. If the crush coral doesn’t fix your nitrate/ph problem then you need a much larger filtration system. And more water changes to remove the nitrate or plants to eat it.

I got 2 110 aquaclear and 1 fx6. mybe ima try to get algae scrubber to lower the nitrate. I got crushed coreal in the tank but after a few month it lower bak again

You asked this in another thread. Don’t hijack other people thread and start asking about your Fish. This isn’t a chat room.

It’s better you to back to your original thread and post what you have changed in your feeding schedule and water change schedule.

But from what I have read it seems to me that you decreased the number of feedings but increased each feeding from 1 shrimp to 2 shrimp. So...you did nothing as far as lowering the bioload. And then you went from water change weekly to once every 2 weeks....which is the opposite advice given to you in the other thread. Other thread also suggested Adding crush coral. But you argue that it isn’t safe because of the ph swing. But that was also debunked by another member in the other thread. Maybe you need to go back and read that thread you posted and actually follow the advice of giving less food, more frequent water changes, and adding crush coral.

I have no idea how u got those readings. I’ve had bigger bioloads, smaller tanks, and less filtration and my water quality never reached half of what your readings are at because I did water changes. Even after 3 weeks my water was less than half of your conditions. And that was enough for me to do multiple water changes in a week to get parameters under control.

My advice, stop asking questions and start following the suggestions given to you. Reduce the bioload by actually reducing the food going in. You went from 7 shrimp a week to 6 shrimp a week. Not much difference. Then you did less wAter changes. If you had folllowed the advice from the other thread you would be feeding one shrimp every 2 days and doing 2 water changes a week and adding crush coral until your water cleans up.

Btw, how big is the fish itself???

And 50% water change every 2 weeks is pretty bad... i would say at least 50% per week...
