no where
not allowed to use my heater so tank stays at 70 to 75 depending on if the woodstove is running or not. all i have is aquarium salt, ick away and quick cure, quick cure has formalin and malachite green and ick away has 0.075 malachite green in aqueious solution. and i also have salt. only allowed to do water change once a week.

Generally to cure ick you would raise the temp to about 82-84*F, add salt, and do water changes. Keeping your tank that cold is probably what caused ick in the first place, you really need a heater (they are after all, "tropical" fish)

Since you will be not allowed to use heat, I would put in 3 tablespoons of aquarium salt for every 5 gallons. Don't do a water change until all signs of ich are gone for a few days. If the ich is far advanced, do 4 tablespoons for every 5 gallons. Pretty much everyone will tell you to do water changes daily and add salt as needed. When I was new to the hobby, I read to not do water changes. This is how I have treated ich for years and it has always worked fine. Obviously, if your water parameters become unhealthy, then do a water change. The ich should dissapear in less than a week.

Sadly youre kind of in trouble, im sure those meds say you need to change water after adding it, right? You need a heater, the tank should not be at 70 degrees. Yeah, I know, you live with family and thats the rules. Well its gonna suck cuz I dono how youre gonna get rid of it..when ive had it, temp to mid 80s kills it. No need for meds or salt usually. I wish I could say more, but you need to do water changes and jack up temp and keep it stable, not jumping in low 70's.
Hha you cant sneak a heater from grandma ?

+1 To cure Ich you definitely need a heater. Ich will reproduce itself if the temp is not warm enough.

I have a heat & salt method that works great, I used it for my puffer, and he cured in 10 days. If you raise temp to about 86-87 for 10 days, every second day do a water change and sift through the gravel, your ich should no longer be spreading.

If you cannot raise the temps, I don't think any ich meds would even work.. you really need to higher temps for it to work properly...

Good luck!

damn i got tears almost but i told my granny i can prove it to her. right now only 2 mollys maybe 3 ( ballon molllys ) have it and rest are fine if worst comes to worst i may have to take the mollys out which is gunna be hard. so what do yu all sajust i do?

i told her they will DIE if i dont properly treat them and shes like * if they all die then you can get a hampster * i was like NO i wont then you will have to BUY me new fish grrrr

You need to do frequent water changes to get rid of the juvi parasites that are water bourne and invisible to the eye. The salt might kill them though... But you still dont want them floating around.

The liferange for ick at 70 degrees is like 2 1/2 3 weeks? at 40 degrees its about 7 weeks i believe? at temperatures above 80 its supposed to be shorter than ten days.

Im sorry but why arent you allowed to care for you're fish properly? Whos the fish vindicator?

Here is a good article:

http://cichlid-forum.com/articles/ich.php

According to the author, ich can be treated with salt alone, and you should use more salt than you would if you were raising temperature and using salt.

I wonder why you say I am giving wrong advice. Have you actually done research and experiments on the treatment of ich, or are you just mindlessly echoing what others say?

That being said, I have never treated ich without raising the temp, and I have not had experience with the effectiveness of salt alone. People just need to do research and give supported reasoning behind their claims instead of just repeating what they have always heard.
