How to decide between fire eels?

I feed mine frozen bloodworms and they never leave a single one uneaten. I would like to get them on earthworms but I'm not sure I can find any that small. Mine are about 5-6" also and I am affraid of them choking on anything larger. As soon as they can eat them though, I will start them for sure. The earthworms are so healthy for the eels.

I am hoping that getting the two small ones at the same time and letting them grow together will let them get along when they are bigger/older. If not then I will have to find a good home for one of them.

Have any of you kept fire eels with a ray? I am considering getting a smaller species ray down the road but my fire eels are going to be my main focus in the tank.

It's weird that my little guy won't take bloodworms but it will engulf just about the entire container of live blackworms but anyhow I did a little yard work today and was actually able to find a few small earthworms.I rinsed and dropped three of them in the tank and the eel came out of hiding and hunted them down with gusto.

That worm looks kinda big. Was he able to eat that ok?

Very nice eel, btw.
Thanks,it took him a while and I thought that he would eventually spit it out but he got it down.

Try those trout worms, now that he's eating worms he will grow like a weed!
I'll have to find them.I was looking to buy some over the weekend but the only bait shop I know of does not carry them.
