How to execute my hardscape idea?

Started foaming and stacking my rocks.

I’m waiting for the foam to cure right now.

It’s kind of ugly right now but hopefully not when finished!

I love diy but I’m not quite as good as I might have thought lol

What a mess I have tonight lol

Locally they ran out of black foam so I tried the natural color foam for the second layer....looks like fluffy marshmallows

Once this round sets I’ll shave off the excess and add some smaller rocks to the holes, I’m also hoping the rocks will be heavy enough to keep the foam from floating bc the “base” is all foam lol....

I like the look your going for!
If it is a bit too light maybe silicone some flat slate to the bottom sticking out past the rockwork and then using some heavy rocks on top of the slate to hold it all down? If that makes sense?

I know what you mean about a tank that size big too small even for fancies. I have a 70g that I’ve used to grow baby fancies just over the winter months and I feel it’s so cramped by spring.
