How to feed your fish while your away

What's wrong with the auto feeders?

Auto feeders tend to be unreliable, if the food gets damp they clog and the food can often mold.

Really that sucks, I'll have to look for someone a bit more responsible to help me next time.

The reason why they let their kid do it is simple. Everyone thinks fish are cut and dry easy.

If the whole bottle fell in, that little girl probably said "Oops" and left it in, thinking that they'd just eat it sooner or later, Or, didn't care.

That's like my future sister in law has a big angelfish in a tank about half the size of my quarentine 10!! I'm amazed that the fish actually lived long enough to get that big....and I'm tempted to buy them a bigger tank, gravel, bubbler and decor for their fish for Christmas!!

Going away for a week over thankgiving and I really don't have anyone to come in and feed my fish. I know they won't starve in that time but I'm worried about my rainbow wolf possibly eating his tank mates or my exodons cannibalizing each other in that short period. Should I just throw a bunch of feeders in both tanks?

that really sucks.. i hope that dosen't happen to me in the future lol.

When im gone i just throw a few dozen feeders in. They take more than half in the first five min but then the rest will last about a week.

I once watched a neighbors fish before I knew anything about them. There were 5 goldfish in a 1gal fish tank that looked like a bubblegum dispenser lol. Anyways I watched them for a week and fed what they told me. By the 4th day it looked like pea soup! I didn't know how to change their water and felt so bad!! They told be I wouldn't need to do anything but feed!!!!

yupz thats correct. if u r away for less than 10 days then u actually dont have to feed ure fish at all! just make sure they get a good last meal and they shud be fine. dont forget that in the wild fish go without food for long periods of time. sumtimes even months!
