How to go about it?

Yea today I went up to his room and he was watching tv and i asked if i could get on his computer a little bit and so I did, and I immediately went to Kingsnakes classifieds....davo;1267044; said:

You may not want go for the snake you really want first just get somthing small and very doscile first (if you can) like a ball .Let your dad warm up to them then go for the one you want .Just make sure you go to a breeder to get it with the understanding that you will trade it in later for somthing else.That always seemd to work for me .The key is getting the snake in the house .After that you can trade it in with out him knowing( not to be deciving) or more inportantly caring and get the one you really want .Then again if you do get a smaller one he may warm up to then and let you get the one you really want.
i say start small go big/more expensive later (I did this with my fish tanks, and now currently snakes) start them with something basic to get the used to it, such as a corn or ball and when they become comfortable with the idea, upgrade to something more exotic. Plus you said its your first, so I wouldnt go with anything to difficult to take care of.
just bring it home and if they find it oh well.... i always did that with my parents and still do it with my wife ... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha they soon forget and get over it.
