i did it! i can hand feed mine by holding feeder fish half way in the water, it comes up and gets it.

at times i am leary of putting my hand near them in the tank, but i clean quite frequently and have never even had a close call, mine are about 5-7 in

I did it with my first guy, using Hiroki Bloodworm cubes, when he was alone in the tank. Now that there are two of them they are very skittish and I can't get them to approach me...probably a good thing.
