How to I.D. Black bar's at quarter size?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Both EBH and ERH are Myleus Schomburgki, EBH (Emperor Blue Hooks) are wide bar and ERH (Emperor Red Hooks) are thin bar. Give the little EBH's a couple of months and they should close the gap in size fairly quickly. Congrats on the find.

Sweet!! I got lucky. Got them all from tfd labeled Myleus Schomburgki

Got 4 of the red hook black bars and 2 of the wide bars.

I got some good pictures I will post up tomorrow
I was going to pick up those thin bar but you beat me to it:cry:. Nice collection.

they had more i am pretty sure.

Here are a few more pictures, still say wide bar on the small ones?

Pictures are worth a thousand words indeed:ROFL:. After seeing them more closely, I actually think they are red hooks:nilly:

awwww..... I noticed in the pictures a little bit of red in the hooks. i can't see it with bare eyes :)

What is the growth rate on these? the little ones are too small to go in my tank yet.

Do they get as big as the EBH'S?

I am still willing to bet those small Disks are EBH. You shall see. They blue will show in a month. Until then you will have a platnum streak.

Still raising them from the quarter size like yours. They have more then doubled in 3 weeks. Although I do powerfeed mine like crazy and do 50% water changes every other day now.

Woe, your feeding video is intense. Great collection.

based on this and another post it seems like TFD has both EBH and ERH. I got 6 from them and they all look like EBH's to me
