Easier way is lxwxh in inches divided by 231 or lxwxh in feet and multiply by 7.48Thanks.
In primary school I was taught LxWxH (in cm) ÷ 1000 = approx volume. But I'm terrible at math and can't divide for the life of me.![]()

Her method is for litres. much easier than gallons. its annoying having to convert the whole timeEasier way is lxwxh in inches divided by 231 or lxwxh in feet and multiply by 7.48
I feel most on this site though would prefer it to be said in gallons lol even in Canada gallons is used for fish tanksHer method is for litres. much easier than gallons. its annoying having to convert the whole time
What about man wh*ring him? What's your opinion on that idea? I'd probably rather that than trying two males...You could probably get away with two males quite honestly, assuming it's heavily planted. Most info online, and my own experience is that male Betta occupy space 2x2 max as their territory.
Personally I'd use the 6' as an opportunity for something else, and keep the Betta in something smaller...a 6 foot tank is begging for some 7-8 inch fish at least imo![]()
See above. They claim about a square metre in the wild so, 9 square feet a betta male.
I would also say keep the betta in a smaller tank, there are nice fish you can keep in there for a larger community
Will do... If I even go this route, the more I read on it the more skeptical I become about it being possible...I found it to be much more difficult than stocking a harem of cichlids. Even just raising the females usually resulted in one alpha at very least outcompeting the rest. It maybe worth the effort, just keep us posted with your findings
How is dividing something by 231 easier than dividing it by 1000??? Do Americans find hard things easy and easy things hard? Same with multiplying decimals... Man, I would have failed an American math class if that's the case hahahaEasier way is lxwxh in inches divided by 231 or lxwxh in feet and multiply by 7.48
I feel like most on this site are smarter than me, therefore should be more capable of working the conversions out in their heads than I am, because I suck at converting things in my head... I try to post both litres and gallons where I know the gallons, but we work in litres down here so that's my "go to" so to speak lolI feel most on this site though would prefer it to be said in gallons lol even in Canada gallons is used for fish tanks
In the UK we use imperial gallons which is 4.54609 liters a US gallon is 3.785 liters. Much prefer to use liters, it's the same every where.I feel most on this site though would prefer it to be said in gallons lol even in Canada gallons is used for fish tanks
If I do it, it will be one or the other. Either Miles with some Milettes or Miles with a "bro".If u mean to keep multiple bettas in an aquarium u should have 3 males and six to 8 females,u also need lots of visual barriers like plants,u should also have a bunch of peaceful small fish such as white clouds minnows, tetras of peaceful species, guppies etc,all bettas should be introduced at the same time and the males should be introduced in different parts of the tank.
^^^^That stocking works, however I would add more minnows or other small fishes.
