How to keep track

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Only on this site would the the concept of "not knowing how many/what kind's of fish you had" work. It makes me happy.
I'd say a spread sheet would work because you could just go in and change things without needing to erase. It would be hard to misplace something on the computer too.

i actually have a fish book that i log water changes, test results and when i add/move fish. I also have a section in the back of the book of all the fish i have ever kept, i just write in new species. I also keep a simple list of what, how many and where i have fish in Microsoft word

If you did it on the computer you could really make a cool one. Name, date purchased and pic of the individual fish. You could have a link to species profile pages. you could even update fish with pics of color changes as it matures etc..You could do a page or document for each tank or for each fish , something like that. Keep a logbook. I have alot of fish but once i get fully stocked i really dont buy anymore for long periods so i pretty much only need a stocking/species list when first stocking a empty tank with fish i have never kept before and need to research their needs .

Spread sheet in Microsoft office.

I also have a notebook/journal that I keep info./notes in.

what is it ..... we cant view it if you dont list it LOL
