you know it is true... totally awkward...

I'll make sure not to tell the surviving OB that you said that. He would be crushed.

BTW. I have now switched to using a word document for all species kept and a notebook to keep track of all happenings in the tanks.

Good god, no. I can't be bothered with logs/charts/files or anything of that nature. Isn't it enough work to keep water changes and maintenance up on 20+ tanks?

What more do you want from me????? ;)

Nice, Once I sell a fish other than remember I had it, it is dead to me. I see them later and we do not even talk.

Hahaha...LOL :ROFL::ROFL: Now that's funny I don't care who you are!!!

I keep track of when the female started holding, when she spits and when she holds again. I do this for all my females. I also keep track of water quality before and after water changes and I also chart date/time/species of every fish that dies. I do that for inventory purposes. I also keep track of every fish I sell so I can tell what are good sellers and what aren't worth taking up tank space. I do this with notebooks and spreadsheets. I also keep track of electric used, food, meds and new supplies so I can see how much I spend vs how much I make. I also have a section for new species I want to get and a section for everything I have or have had.

i keep a tablet with notes.... all fish are listed with what there eating and how long of a starve for other foods... previous problems meds treated etc.... works pretty well for me... i plan on switching all this to computer later on when i get a new lap top...

With one rainbow shark and a few ghost shrimp I don't have much trouble keeping track of my fish... If I had that many fish I'd start writing the date I got the fish or when it was born along with monthly updates on size and if they were sold where they went to. just to keep track of things and check with the new owners on how they're doing.

Mike, I keep all in an Excel file and use a label maker on each tank. It is funny that you ask the question though...we are sick aren't we?
