How to lower pH level in tank

You are getting into a lot more than just PH. I'd recommend a different choice of fish.

As a side note, I keep stingrays in a PH of close to 9. My water is incredibly hard as well with high mineral content. Long term consistency and stability are far more favorable than chasing a specific value as your parameters will fluctuate more than if you just stick with what you have. I have never tried to replicate my rays natural water because I know I cannot keep it consistently. However my rays are doing great, including my wild leopoldi, and have breed regularly for me as well. Pick fish that can tolerate your water is the best advice I can give you
