How to move 100fish?

I agree with using coolers.half tank water, half new water.bag just won't hold enough water volume for 5 fish.in a cooler you can secure some pvc in there for temporary hides. 10 min. Drive but the tanks won't be ready, the cooler or bin needs to house them till your tanks are up running

Oh the fish will be in my parents hot tub/bathtub for a few days. Done this before when tank seal leak.

Pumping up a bag of fish with a air pump will not put oxygen in the bag. It will just put air in there.

Umm what is air made up of? I seen venders on here use air pumps to send fish 1to2 days.

Not trying to debate, but air is not the same as using pure oxygen. Just pumping air in a bag is the same as grabbing air in the bag and quickly closing it.

Umm I believe you can force more air in the bag with a air pump. I do understand the use of pure oxygen. I do believe fish can stay longer in a bag with pure oxygen. But I know for sure a fish can survive in a bag all day using an air pump.

I still don't see how you could have a mass die off when you're only keeping the fish in the buckets for 10-15 minutes for transport unless they're getting some kind of chemical dumped into their water.

My friends told me its because I I had the lid tight on there with a little hole for air pump. They said no cycle of oxygen cause it was being trap

that could have been the reason. but thats the same as filling a bag. limited air. just dont put the top on tight

I always transport mine without a lid and without extra air being pumped in, never had a problem before. Sure something else is not going wrong? Just use multiple buckets/tubs and split the fish up into groups of 20 or less.

5 gallon buckets have never failed me for smaller fish. Larger fish I use rubbermaid containers. Moved over an hour with no air pump and never lost a fish during a move.
