How to move the eheim 2262 pump moutning peice ???

That o-ring doesn't look quite thick enough, it may just be worn a bit. Try adding a couple wraps of teflon tape as soupa2 suggested and see if that fixes it.

The o-ring should be slightly higher than the plastic edges on either side of the o-ring groove to seal correctly.
 
This is what I am using for filtration for now
I bought a 10ft roll from ebay. But in a couple months when I clean the filter im going to put some media. Hopefully my tank gets cleaner with this 2262 filter on now

Enjoy this monster filter.. even a brand new out of box eheim 2262 = 1262 pump will have this defect where u have to use a little Teflon tape to raise the O-ring... I have 3 of these bad boys n it does magic for my tanks.. if bio pellets by eheim too exp I used matrix.. for macxhanical I still used their noodle rings.. the top layer I did the same as u.. brought a big roll of filter floss from eBay n cut to size.. njoy ur new filter..

Glad to hear the fix worked, I'll have to keep that tidbit in mind for the future!

Were you able to get the green lattice screen repaired or did you buy a new one?
 
2 of 3 are quit. Sometimes I have to feel the pump to make sure the system r running. My other one's tubing right next to a wall so I have that filter with vibrating sound... In order to eliminate that problem all u need is to wrap the tubing with felt cotton near the area where the tubing is against the wall or touching..
