Interesting but would that be how the biologist that the fish is named for be pronounced?
Johann Buttikofer the Swiss zoologist it is named after, has an .. (umlaut) above the u.
I'm not up on the Germanic sounds, so maybe someone that knows German could chime in on how a u with an umlaut sounds.
