I went on Segrest Farms. Gibsonton Florida website and you must own a pet store to be able to see prices. But it has a really good variet of fish/repltiels and salt water fish. Has anyone that has owned a fish sotre ever done buisness with them? If soo how are there prices?

And so far only website i have found that shows prices is tfd but there prices are kinda of high. I saw another website from columbia that had tetras are liek 15cents, guppies at 10cents etc but i think the website was out of date. Is that still the prices a fish companies charge for whole sale fish?

the prices at both the stores they sell to around here are pretty good so that kinda says that their prices cant be too high.

igot a bit bored of reading after page 4 so idk if anyones said this but maybe instead of buying all ur tanks u might be able to contact a company that makes tanks and see if u can get some sort of deal with them for buying so many at once... that might reduce the cost a lot.. or even a glass cutting company to cut ur tanks glass pannels and then join the tanks together urself if ur any good at that...

another idea for tank cost .. why not have tanks built into ur shelves like with 3 sides and the bottom plywood stuff and only have the glass on the front.. might be able to save u money or even have a very long tank built into the shelves with dividers in it for fish that can live in the same water conditions

also just an idea but when selling ur fish maybe sell them with a sheet of guidlines or tips because i know a lot of people ask a couple questions n they think thats all their is to it and then a week later they come back wondering why their fish died but if u give them those guidelines then they cant say its ur fault for not providing the with the right information.

or you could just flood the basement of the place, throw in a bunch of fish. When people walk in the door you rent out fishing poles and they get what they catch. :D easy solution lol.

on a less derailed note: I would have a company that fits custom store displays put it together cuz then it will look more professional and people will appreciate that.
