I just traded Racersk for this. Now I'm wondering what I can put in it. Roots and a crayfish? Crayfish eat plants and I want plants. So if the cray is out, what else can enjoy a vertical life? Perhaps my dragonfly baby?
I thought about how I'm going to vacuum it. Then -cha-ching- it occured to me: Deep sand bed. So I'll do about 4" of sand in the bottom, then a potted plant. But is something like vallesnaria going to get five feet tall? What kind of plant will get that long without ditching its roots and going floater on me, yet is narrow enough to not completely coat the walls with leaves? I'm not heating it. I will hopefully not need much filtration, either, as the plant/s and DSB should do plenty if I add strong aeration or perhaps a powerhead. And it would be very understocked as well.
Or should I go giant walstad on it?
I wonder if I could hang planters in it at various heights.
