How to teach a cat a lesson....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dunno why but I imagined there being Ps under the towel when he fell in. lol.

This is the kind of crap he does on a daily basis....from wrecking the toilet paper to wrecking the paper towel roll to knocking glasses off of the counter and shattering them to tearing open our tortoises' bag of hay and scattering it throughout the house...He opened the door to our spare bedroom, wrecked his way through the lid of our iguana cage, and killed one of them, He's chewed through all of our computer cords, wrecked all the blinds in our house, chewed a pair of leather shoes, wrecked half of our DVD collection....basically he got what he deserved.

LOL, maybe you should get some cat toys or something? You could always keep your bathroom door closed too. If you want more cat advice pm me....I have a lot of cats and lots of experience lol.

Maybe it's time to get a new cat.:ROFL:But seriously this is why I would never get a cat, plus they piss on everything.

He has a TON of cat toys. His problem is that he's too smart to be entertained by simple objects (like most cats), so he is constantly trying to entertain himself in other ways. The bathroom scene is only one of many places he has caused distruction. I have had cats my whole life and have never encountered a cat like him. He is an absolutely awesome cat, but a total pain in the butt!

Not really...as long as you keep their litter box clean and accessable that shouldnt be a problem. At least it has never been for me.

Hmm, have you tried cat-proofing things? I know, hard to do with cats..

You could get some kind of motion sensor that makes a loud noise and place them wherever you don't want him..as well as new, fun things every day. I know you said he has lots of toys, but if you have a spare room, try making it a fun area for him.
With colors like blue and green, which I've heard cats can see alot stronger than some other colors, and things for him to climb and shred, like real branches.
Also, getting a bunch of cat grass couldn't hurt, they love it and it's good for them.

May I ask though, why did you do the water thing? Funny though.. But a cat isn't going to understand that he got wet because he broke your things earlier... no offense meant at all.

you cant catproof everything in the house...it's impossible. the water trick was to try detering him from getting on the counter. if you make the experience unpleassurable, he may not want to do it anymore (he was up there again this morning).
