How to tell Retroculus Xinguensis from Lapidifer at 2"?

Orino, thanks for the great tip on identifying them and yes indeed I have xinguensis haha. The stripe on the tail exist and are always there.

Down to three. Original 2 males fought to the death. Lost 2 moving and a couple of weeks ago the smallest one got spooked my a dwarf pike and hit it's head on a clay pot. They are very active and eat anything.

No problem buddy xinguensis are beautiful fish, I can't wait to grow mine up aswell hope I can add some more in the near future.
