How understanding if your significant other?

I was just wondering how everyone elses boyfriend/husband or girlfriend/wife thinks of our hobby of fish keeping? Personally my girlfriend hates it and all her friends thought it was "weird" when I posted a video of my fire eel's first time eating. I think its awesome! I love monster fish and so far I have found all of the people here to be quite friendly and nice.

I just got a 650 gallon tank and everyone I know thinks I am an idiot, but they will never understand. Its more than just another hobby for some of us
 
yep. My girlfriend hates my obsession. She likes the fish just not the money i put into them.
 
Yeah just wait till I build my own tank. She might leave me! :nilly:I need to find someone who shares my passion. But then we might live inside a fish tank!
 
She has no idea the hell we'd be in if I were investing in tankards instead of tanks.
 
I would prob be a criminal if not for my obsession. My wife I think knows this and therefore tolerates me and my over the top obsession. I mean...common i spend like 8 hours a day just on this site!

haha totally! It keeps us out of trouble. Maybe my girlfriend is just jealous!
 
I got my girlfriend a ten gallon, then she wanted a 29, and now she's ready for a larger tank. She cleans it and does it all herself...

Guess I just lucked out.
