Really? A desk? You can't feed a desk...
yeah, its in their computer room, so the computer is on one desk, and the tank is on the opposite wall. she wants to put an office desk there instead.

my fiance thinks changing water once a week is absurd
but she likes the fish. we just bicker about it and i change the water when she is not home

My girlfriend loves my fish, and loves the fact that my setup is over complicated with my sump, external pump and all of the plumbing!

My fiance doesn't understand it, but she accepts it. She doesn't mind as long as she doesn't have to take care of the fish or tanks. She does get into some of the fish, and my stingrays were her favorites (until they died). She even names most of the fish she can remember, which even I don't do.
She doesn't like how much money I spend on the hobby, but then she's a bit of a penny pincher anyways. She does keep me from going TOO overboard with fish keeping. And if it came down to it, I would give up keeping fish if it meant keeping her
