I got my girlfriend a ten gallon, then she wanted a 29, and now she's ready for a larger tank. She cleans it and does it all herself...

Guess I just lucked out.

Lucky lucky man:headbang2

You lucky lucky man. My wife says that she wants to try, but I know the truth I will just have another tank all to myself. So I guess I need to be the one who picks it out.

My husbands likes watching them (And fishing snails out) but he wouldn't ever take care of one himself. Everything has to run on timers while I'm away. He understands the obsession a little bit and even suggested the 240 when I was thinking of upgrading (I was thinking 90!)

My boyfriend got me into fish and now I think I am even bigger of a fish nerd than he is. We love our fishies. :) It's pretty much what we do for fun; go to fish stores feed the fish all that good stuff.

Awesome! When my girlfriend comes with me to our LFS she just looks at me like "can we go yet?"

My gf is real cool about it. Helps with cleaning, water changes, etc. She likes to buy me fish stuff as gifts. Loves going to the LFS w me. Also really enjoys watching them. I think she understands that it helps calm me and keep me out of trouble. I would probably drink a lot more than I already do if I didn't have fish around.

Pretty cool man she sounds like a keeper! :)

I am single at the moment (..take note all you MFK hotties LOL) but I honestly would not date someone who didn't support/appreciate my fish hobby. it would be a deal breaker for me.

my brother loves his 90g, his wife hates it. there is always a bit of conflict over it because he wants to keep it, she wants to get rid of it and put a desk in its place etc.

no thanks.

I would go nuts with someone who complained at the realities of the hobby -small expenses here and there, some space taken up by tanks etc.

it just wouldn't work out for me.

My wife doesn't understand but accepts. She buys me stuff for my fish, and never complains when I get a crazy idea and spend 2 days DIY'ing. I actually keep fish for her if she see's one she likes I take care of it for her.

Still single but I'd definitely want my significant other to be appreciative of my hobby.
