How was your experience with Don Conkel?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Fatdovii......... I've been waiting for a group buy, just ask Ewok! Unless you're in the middle of nowhere (like stated in your avatar) count me in on a GB. I've got a list burning in my pocket!

Don published a book in 93 called the "Cichlids of North and Central America", has written many articles for TFH mag and the Buntbarsche Bulletin.
He has been an avid collecter for years and has a cichlid farm in FL.

....and in that book he described several "new species" which turned out to be hybrids. He continues to sell hybrids as a valid species (under the species name conkelii) to a LFS near me.

This was brought up in another thread a couple of weeds ago. They also sell
the same species ( Conkelii ) at an lfs here in St. Louis.

if anyone is seriously interested in getting an up to date price list from don, pm me.
no spam, please... only if you or your friends are seriously interested.
