how would having an oscar, jack dempsey, jaguar cichlid and pleco in a 75 gal sound?

or instead how would having an oscar, jack dempsey, pleco and 2 pictus catfish sound? (in a 75..)

just throwing these ideas out there because im probably getting a 75 gal, and already have an oscar, dempsey, african peacock cichlid, an anubis? and pleco in a 55.. which is clearly over stocked. luckily the fish arent full grown and im gona split up the africans and south/central americans when i get the 75.

The cats with the fish you have now could work depending on what species your pleco is, you happen to know what you've got?

i have a common pleco, madbob, probably 6 inches now.

im just looking to get a good south/central american 75 gal tank based around the oscar and dempsey. let me know of any good fish to throw in with them.

I think that this tank would be full with the JD, Oscar, and Pleco. Common plecos grow pretty large, and all of these fish poo a lot.

This tank is already going to be packed with an oscar, jd, and pleco, telling them to add more cichlids cause you did is not good advice..

Op, you said you might be getting a 75. If your getting one new, why not spend the little extra for the 90? That would be perfect for the 3 fish you stated previosly..

Your pleco really should go... Sooner than you think that pleco is going to be 15+" monster dropping some major bombs, lots of ammonia for a 75G of water to take at once, you're going to need some very heavy filtration just for this fish and the tank police will come to your door, seriously though the oscar and JD are literally a drop in the bucket next to a fully grown pleco. At 6" your LFS will probably take him, give him a second run, see if you can get credit toward an ancistrus if you want a suckermouthed cat.

Keep SMALLER plecos. Common plecos grow up to 20".

You could keep a pair of convicts and a pair of firemouths.

Oscar and JD in a 75 is overstocked, jaguars requier 100g atleast.
