Just curious...how's everyone dealing with the warmer weather in regard to your tanks?

I've been using ice paks and putting them into my sump to help keep the temps down. Damn temps reached to 93 degrees and thats with my tanks in the basement too. :irked:

Feel sorry for you man, my tanks are in the basement too, but it's a steady 78. No need for the heater to even run when the lights are on. The lights keep it 80-81 when on, and it falls to 78-79 at night.

:D lucky you.

I don't even bother to have the lights on lately just to help reduce the temp.

I have a feeling its my quiet one 4000HH that is producing quite a bit of heat, since its in my sump.

I'm thinking of just picking up a chiller, but now thats more work involved. Gotta run a separate 15amp line for that and a lil bit of plumbing.

It's nice to have central air. I've just had to turn my heater down a bit. Temp fluctuate so much here that I'm having to change it often.

Yeah..I wish had central air. House is built in 30's...so any chance of retrofitting it will cost an arm and a leg. I have a small a/c in my basement..but it only cools down my office/work room only. Besides I really don't want to leave an a/c on all day...since I'm only home 1/3 of the day. :irked:
