could put a few ice cubes in there to help... not sure the vents will do to much
Ice cubes and airflow................................................ cool !!

I do nothing. My tanks hover at around 84-85 degrees. I keep the heaters in, just incase it starts getting cooler in the evenings. But for the most part, since the tanks are warmer, the heaters never turn on.

Nah..sump is inside the cabinet of the tank with ventilation tho. The way I have my pump in the tank it'd be a pain to move it outside since the bulkhead I drilled is at the top of the DIY w/d so that's out of the question of having it outside. Maybe I'll rig up a few PC fans...I know I should have about 8 of them lying around somewhere.

Well I do plan to get a chiller, since I'm planning on getting a 240g Long Tenecor tank so I figure to get a bigger chiller to cool off my 125 and 240 because I'm going to redo the setup. In-wall for the tanks more than likely with a 55g DIY W/D...this way I'll mount the pumps on the outside. :grinno:

But for now I'll try that...the 12V fans and see if that helps.

Thanks.
Been the in-wall route as well. In my situation, it made the tank even warmer, so I went back to free standing.

Only reason I'm doing it is to stream line the appearance. Currently the 125, 55, 20L are free standing whilst my 30BR and 40BR are in-wall (false wall) and is apparently 2 degrees lower than the others. Go figure.

Interesting. You would think an in wall that is more confined would have less air circulation to use evaporation as a cooling effect.

My tank reaches about 89F during mid day, but I figure that's not to bad so I don't do anything special, except wish we had central air, instead of a friggin in wall POS that cools the air 3 feet in front of it. :irked:
