Hows your fishing season going?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I caught the Black Drum in my avatar in March at Port O'Connor. Same trip also caught a couple reds, skipjacks, and of courses the damn hardheads (catfish). Haven't had a chance to go out again since then but summer is coming and our family spends almost all of it out at the bay at our fish shack in the middle of the intercoastal.

Haven't been yet. And I still need to buy a license... Going to get the boat out of storage this weekend though. Sounds like it isn't going to rain for a change:)

Been slow so far. Notables include my personal best pompano, didnt weigh it but it was over 16" so I guess around 3lbs. I mopped up on sheepshead this year during their spawn, caught 40 or so. I lost a big king at the gaff on the pier and no cobia yet. Im 0-8 on them which is pretty bad.

Damn June grass is already starting to show up so I have a feeling my chances for another few pomps are dwindling.

I cant wait to June 1st when the red snapper season starts so I can finally go off shore and do some bottom bumping.

Happy to say my season begins on sunday!!! Already registered for 2 shark tournaments and will be in the ocean this weekend. I'm going to be fishing for either striped bass or bluefish. Either way I'm stoked!

>.> i get my license early next month! woot..ill take the camera

this has been one of my best seasons starts of my life for big bass, really have no complaints. here's the biggest chunk of the year and a couple others:
