I deleted a few posts, and I know that the members involved are reputable, but arguing is unnecessary. Back on track.

The Jaguar cichlid is an active and charming fish with a beautiful look. It can survive up to 15 years in a well kept aquarium. The body is golden or yellow and features dark markings. A fully grown Jaguar cichlid will need a big aquarium since an adult male can grow up to 55 centimeters (1.8 feet) in length. Expecting your male Jaguar cichlid to reach a length of 40 centimeters (1.3 feet) is however more realistic. The heaviest male Jaguar cichlid ever recorded weighed 1,580 g (3.48 lbs). A female Jaguar cichlid will typically be smaller than the males and stay below 30 centimeters (1 foot) in length.from aquaticcommunity.com.see people

such controversy over a little post about a fish. its really not that big of a deal. a 16in fish plus tail looks like a nearing 20in mark fish. enjoy this place if you make it out that way. the guy that runs the place has no problems talkin fish with the patrons and seems to know his stuff pretty well. he also has some beautiful true parrots at a good size. that is not a fish many people get to see in person, at least around here. now if we could get aquamojo to photograph this place everyone could enjoy it. how about it mo lunch is on me, and you can check on the progress of the motas.

Those are definetly out there i have seen what i thought to be a giant jag years ago at a lfs and the store owner said it was half dovii and that this paticular fish showed mostly jag traits but had dovii size :headbang2 a easly made mistake by anyone.

hey, i don't know about you all, but a 16 inch fish without the tail is probably about a 18 to 19 inch fish TL isnt it? Thats pretty dang big. Either way, I love jags so keep posting pictures of monster jags./
