most people would call that a 5" con. I mentioned earlier the TL (Total Length) and SL (Standard length). most people go by standard length (not counting the tail fillament). these two different ways of measuring create confusion from time to time.

When people quote their fish's size, I always take it as TL unless they specify SL.

Nice convict barge51! Someone in the lfs big tank was eating at his dorsal fin though. It should be long and trailing but it sounds like you're not wanting a show fish anyway. Aren't you just going to use him to pump out feeder fry? Nice pickup anyway.

That's definitely one impressive Con! I've always thought that the biggest Con could only get 5" and the biggest I've seen has been 5" That's cool!
