The thing is it is part of the topic. You can debate wether or not we originated through evolution but evolution is fact. You can argue it till your blue in the face but ud still be wrong.
The human race has taken morals and feelings over keeping the species strong. We have people allergic to cold for pete's sake. We would survive but most would die off. Personally, I could keep trucking if we had weapons (its called making them). If it was just bare hands without anything(not even making stuff) then no, man would not survive.
Go do minecraft without any weapons/items, just bare hands. Same result.

I think it depends most on where you are stranded.
If you are near a coastal area it wouldn't be hard to survive, there are plenty of edible critters clinging to the rocks and living in the sand. Here in the Northwest the tribes near the Pacific led sedentary lives because the foraging was so easy. Groups living in the interior had to move seasonally to follow the changing food supplies and overall led a harder existence. When it comes to the polar regions, deserts, and the tropical rainforest it can get really tricky to survive for any length of time.

As far as your thread question where you are lost would have a great deal in your survival chances and considering you don't have even a pocket knife I would say most people wouldn't make it
