You can make a fish trap as well! Use some fish entails as a bait to trapping the crawdads or just handfishing for the crawdads. We always cook the crawdad in the pan full of water above the bonfire then eat them. Use crawdad leftovers to attract a critter into your trap.....and you have a meal that is ready for you. Any critter is fair game....unless it's a skunk.Forgot that^ can always go native and make snare traps too, lol
The really cool thing about science is that it is always evolving and admits when something is in error. We don't take thousands of years old statements like the earth is flat or the sun revolves around it as still the truth. At least most don't.

I take thousand year old statements such as honor your parents, do unto others as you would them do to you as truth any day

Not if you know how to find big ones. I can easily catch 30 crayfish in a hour by the river I live near.Crawdads are delicious but you need a ton of them for a meal.

The cool thing about science is that it is true even if you don't believe it.

Just because you don't believe something doesn't mean it can't be discussed. You have the right to not read anything that offends you. Jewish people might be offended by the discussion of bacon on the forum. So what? Don't read it.
oh.. btw, science is NOT always right........ science has gotten many things wrong.. and has over corrected many things before anyone found out they were wrong, science cant prove EVERYTHING, and science is NOT and i repeat NOT always the answer............ yup, trust wiki, i already know there are paintings in cave walls, been also watching ALOT of documentry lately.. but dont prove cave men were real.... does it? no.............
