Hungry little things.

For every success story like this one there are sadly so many failures. This species does require time and patience if you have any chance at all with them.

I commend you on this one viper, you have purchased 2 of the less desirable rays due to lack of pattern and colour and turned them into what I can only describe as two exceptional fish, fish that truth be known most on here would be only too happy to own. Its very rare to see good strong adult reticulata because of the point mentioned above but when you do its a sight to behold.....look at those tails...WOW!!
Good luck with future pups, captive bred off spring as with all other species are much easier to settle and take care of.

All the best and thanks for sharing these with us.

Thank you very much!! I have worked hard to keep these rays. I actually have 3 of them. You saw my 2 females one of which is pregnant.

Mostly I appreciate the fact you gave me props!! Most people ignore my post because like you said they are non desirable fish. I worked hard to get them of from live worms to leaf worms, raw shrimp and hikari pellets. Not an easy task with retics. I was fortunate enough to purchase 3 captive bred rays though and I think that might have helped a lot!

Again very greatful!! Thank you!!
